David Bratton

Songwriter David Bratton grew up in the 2nd Baptist Church in Vallejo, CA , where his mother always ensured he attended Sunday school and listened to the preached Word. Music constantly resonated throughout young David's life; down the block from where David resided was a practice spot for a number of well-known bands, including Con Funk Shun, Larry Graham and Graham Central Station, and Sly and the Family Stone. David’s powerful song “Every Praise” won Gospel Performance of the Year at the 2014 Dove Awards and holds the distinction of spending six months atop the Billboard Gospel Music Charts. He has accompanied such popular music legends as Roberta Flack and Pattie LaBelle. David is regularly seen on the Bobby Jones Gospel Show on Black Entertainment Television (BET) and has appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show.
