Lindi Ortega

Canadian singer-songwriter Lindi Ortega, who American Songwriter calls "the love child of Johnny Cash and Nancy Sinatra," hails from Toronto, Ontario. In 2011 Lindi released the album Little Red Boots, for which she received two Juno nominations – for New Artist of the Year and Roots & Traditional Album: Solo – and was named a longlisted nominee for the 2012 Polaris Music Prize. Her follow-up album Cigarettes & Truckstops was longlisted for the 2013 Polaris Music Prize. In 2014, Ortega was nominated for two Canadian Country Music Association Awards – Female Artist of the Year and Roots Artist of the Year. Her album, Tin Star was also nominated for Album Design of the Year. Her fifth studio album, Liberty, was released in 2018.
