Today, Anthem Records released the deluxe version of the critically acclaimed album Behind This Guitar, from legendary singer and guitarist, José Feliciano. The special release includes 3-new tracks, including “Eagle When She Flies”, the first-ever song collaboration between Feliciano and Dolly Parton, the patriotic track, “I’m America”, featuring the Virginia Union University Choir led by Dove Award winner David Bratton, and “Feliz Navidad 50th Anniversary (FN50)”, a reimagined recording of the original 1970 holiday classic featuring 30-international artists.

This holiday season Feliciano continues the 50-year anniversary celebration of his bilingual hit, “Feliz Navidad”, a milestone occasion that was marked with a global campaign, which celebrated the release of the critically acclaimed “Feliz Navidad 50th Anniversary (FN50)”.  Produced by Grammy award-winning international producer, Rudy Pérez, the track featured a wide array of high profile guests including José Feliciano himself, CNCO, Isabela Merced, Shaggy, Jon Secada, Jason Mraz, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Rachael Ray, Gloria Gaynor, Big & Rich, Michael Bolton, Los Temerarios, Emmanuel, Isabella Castillo, Jencarlos Canela, Pitingo, Patricia Manterola, Jesus Molina, La India, Julio Iglesias Jr., Tony Carreira, Bertin Osborne, Pablo Montero, El Dasa, Nikki Vianna, Adam Irigoyen, Gord Bamford, Leo Dan, Frankie J, Sam Moore, Styx.

The songs on Behind This Guitar echo a career of transcending genres, with a characteristic fusion of Latin, pop, rock, country, and even flamenco. The album features gems such as the title track, which is laced with Feliciano’s majestic guitar playing.   Other moments including the bluesy, “The Itch,” and “The Chain,” were highly praised, with Digital Journal raving,” Feliciano is able to dust off the Fleetwood Mac original recording and give it his own distinct twist with acoustic guitar and flamenco elements, which are sheer bliss and make it even more appealing.”
