NEW ALBUM REDNEK SET FOR RELEASE ON APRIL 17 VIA ANTHEM RECORDS

FEBRUARY 27, 2020 (Toronto) –  Anthem Entertainment, one of the world’s leading independent music and entertainment content and services companies, announced today  a new exclusive recording agreement via Anthem Records, masters acquisition and extension of worldwide publishing deal with award-winning Canadian Country icon Gord Bamford.

Anthem Entertainment acquired all of Gord Bamford’s master recordings from Cache Entertainment Inc. including all albums from 2001’s God’s Green Earth, to 2018’s Neon Smoke and signed an exclusive recording agreement for all future releases. On April 17, Gord is set to release his new album REDNEK, via his new label home Anthem Records. See below for the full track listing.

Australian-born and Alberta-raised, Gord Bamford stands as one of the most decorated artists in Canadian country music. He has received 26 Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) Awards including Album of the Year, Single of the Year and Male Artist of the Year wins, and multiple JUNO Award nominations. Bamford is the two-time winner (2013/2015) of Nashville’s Country Music Association CMA Global Country Artist Award, with 25 Top 10 singles in Canada including the #1 smash hits “When Your Lips Are So Close” and “Dive Bar”.

In November 2019, Gord Bamford announced the national headlining #REDNEK Music Fest tour that will showcase a broad range of homegrown country music artists including the hottest emerging acts in Canada. Along with Bamford, the show stars multi-platinum, JUNO Award winner Jess Moskaluke, and an incredible line-up of rising talent including Andrew Hyatt, Cory Marks, Duane Steele, Eric Ethridge, Ghost Boy and JoJo Mason. 2019 proved to be a busy year for Bamford with MusiCounts announcing him as the 2019-2020 recipient of the MusiCounts Inspired Minds Ambassador Award, presented by The Canadian Scholarship Trust Foundation. The award recognizes individuals who have had an extraordinary impact on music education and MusiCounts over the course of its history.
