8 JANUARY 2020 (Toronto) – Anthem Entertainment, one of the world’s leading independent music and entertainment content and services companies, announced today that Brian Wahlund has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Content, Anthem Production Music Group. He will be reporting to Dan Demole, President of the group.
Brian will spearhead the original content division and production services for the group. He’ll work alongside Demole in setting the strategic direction while also managing the slate of original podcasts, audio-first content, and third-party production company partnerships. In addition, Wahlund oversees a variety of projects for the company in film, television and advertising. Wahlund will also continue to be heavily involved in Jingle Punks licensing and scoring business globally. He most recently ran production on the hit podcast, “Bear and a Banjo,” that peaked at #2 on the iTunes Music Podcast charts.
As an original partner in Jingle Punks, Wahlund helped steward the organization though the acquisition by Endeavor and subsequently to Anthem Entertainment.
Brian’s previous body of work includes production roles in properties on Fox, ABC, NBC and MTV among others, along with a stint traversing the world in 2006 and 2007 producing branded content for many Red Bull properties.
Dan said, “Brian has been a valuable partner in Jingle Punks for over 10 years, originally launching our Los Angeles office and later over seeing all original productions. His nearly two decades of experience producing top quality content will serve as a great backbone for our division’s goal to become a leader in the audio content space.”
Brian said, “Anthem Entertainment is home to an excellent catalog of music and a roster of incredible artist and creators. I’m looking forward to telling stories in content, podcasting and beyond with the wealth of material within the creative reach of Anthem and outside of our walls through partnerships. Additionally, I look forward to a new chapter in Jingle Punks and to continue working with our clients in television, film and online to provide music for stories big and small.”
