The celebration kicks off with the reimagined re-recording of the holiday smash titled “Feliz Navidad 50th Anniversary (FN50) available now on all DSPs. You can listen to the track HERE. A shorter radio version is available for fans via their local radio station.

Produced by Grammy award-winning international producer, Rudy Pérez, José and 30 artists and celebrities from around the world remotely joined forces last year to create this special celebratory track of his timeless holiday classic. See below for the full star-studded list of guest artists and celebrities. Last year, the reimagined track was released as an Amazon Original that was exclusively available on Amazon Music but today, “Feliz Navidad 50th Anniversary (FN50)” is available everywhere music is sold. You can view the first-ever music video for FN50 featuring all of the global artists HERE.

The roster of artists performing (in order of first appearance) on “Feliz Navidad 50th Anniversary (FN50)” include: José Feliciano, CNCO, Isabela Merced, Shaggy, Jon Secada, Jason Mraz, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Rachael Ray, Gloria Gaynor, Big & Rich, Michael Bolton, La India, Frankie J., Julio Iglesias Jr., Bertin Osborne, Pablo Montero, El Dasa, Nikki Vianna, Adam Irigoyen, Gord Bamford, Leo Dan, Sam Moore, and Styx.

On the wide release, José Feliciano said: “I enjoyed all of the performances on FN50 because of the fact that I was surprised that I would get so many stars in their own right coming together to honor my song.”

Rudy Perez added, “I had the fantastic honor and privilege to produce the reimagined 50th anniversary version of "Feliz Navidad" with my dear friend, the legendary José Feliciano, as well as a diverse international list of amazing artists from nine countries and three continents during some of the most difficult times in our lives with everyone in lockdown. In the face of so many hurdles caused by the pandemic, everyone stepped up and made this iconic song have new life and new meaning!  What a blessing it was to feel the joy and spirit of Christmas on this FN50 version adorned by the voices of some of music's most talented artists."

John Titta, ASCAP Executive Vice President of membership and co-producer on FN50 concluded, “José Feliciano’s Feliz Navidad has been bringing musical joy to the world for the past 50 years. It is a holiday standard that will live forever.”

Anthem Entertainment CEO Helen Murphy adds, “FN50 is a modern interpretation of the most famous bilingual Christmas classic. The pure joy of the recording resonates equally with young and old and this track mixes artists of all ages and genres together to celebrate the importance of this song to the world. FN50 takes it to a whole new level.”

Last year, the original “Feliz Navidad” track hit the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 Chart for the first time in 50 years, peaking at #6 and Feliciano was featured on CBS Sunday Morning, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Good Morning America and NPR. The milestone occasion was marked with a global campaign that included the first ever animated video available and new hardcover editions of the illustrated children’s book “José Feliciano's “Feliz Navidad 50th Anniversary”, available in English and Spanish [HERE]. The video, based on the book, takes readers through the journey of three children; Marie from Paris, Xavier from New York, and Camila from Puerto Rico. In anticipation of Christmas Day, the children follow the music of superhero José Feliciano singing “Feliz Navidad” to people gathering from all over to hear the true meaning of Christmas. Additionally, there was the launch of the official Feliz Navidad 50th Amazon Storefront featuring the exclusive FN50 branded merchandise line available now, and last December, Feliciano put on a global, Feliz Navidad 50th (FN50) Anniversary Livestream Concert.

Feliciano has had a busy 2021 with more to come. Last month, he released his first ever song collaboration multi-Grammy winning, global music icon Dolly Parton, titled Eagle When She Flies”. Earlier this year, he was also featured on Spanish rapper C.Tangana’s track “UnVeneno.” José’s most recent album, Behind This Guitar was released last year on Anthem Records, and joins his 60-plus albums in an incredible discography, solidifying José’s revered standing with critics and fans alike.

ABOUT “FELIZ NAVIDAD”

Written and performed by José Feliciano, “Feliz Navidad” is one of the best-selling holiday songs of all time. The evergreen song was originally recorded with the late producer Rick Jarrard in October 1970 and released one month later in November 1970 on RCA Records. Surprisingly, the song first hit the charts in 1998 on Billboard’s Hot 100, and then charted again in 2017, an astounding 47 years after its original release. After it landed on the Hot 100 again in 2019, Forbes declared it’s the “gift that keeps on giving.” ASCAP recognized “Feliz Navidad” as one of the top 25 most played and recorded Christmas songs around the world. A seemingly endless list of artists across all genres has covered the iconic song, including Céline Dion, Garth Brooks, Chicago, The Three Tenors, Michael Bublé featuring Thalia, Gwen Stefani & Mon Laferte, Kacey Musgraves, and many more. “Without my friend Rick at my side, we might not have had ‘Feliz Navidad’,” said Feliciano.
