''‘Crack In The Glass’ is an anthemic rock ballad that explores the push-pull of being in a relationship, and the compromises that have to be made for love to survive."
Today, three-piece alternative rock band Stuck On Planet Earth share their new euphonic track ‘Crack In The Glass’ available via Anthem Records. The single marks the first release from the band this year as they continue to reinvent their artistry and create unfiltered, hook heavy tracks in their ascent to new heights. With a crisp recording that showcases effortless lead vocals backed by an upbeat rock tempo, the song anchors the band as ‘one to watch’ in 2023 as they claim their space and demand to be heard.
About the writing and recording process of the new single the band shares “The chorus of ‘Crack In The Glass’ had been written for some time before we got into the studio to record it, but the vulnerability in the lyrics of the song always made us feel a bit nervous about recording it. It seemed that the demo of the song resonated with the people closest to us, and we knew that it was something we should explore further."
With more new music in the works, the band also adds, “We just got back from Nashville where we got to work with some incredible people. This time around, we have not been hesitant to be our most authentic selves and we believe we are writing the most honest music we have ever created.”
Last year, Stuck On Planet Earth re-emerged with a new and dynamic rock sound, sharing the blunt and vulnerable track ‘Strange’ accompanied by a neon-illuminated visualizer that was added to MTV Italy where they previously charted Top 10 at both Rock Radio stations in the country. They went on to release the high-octane single ‘Makeshift Paradise’ surrounding internal battles with inner demons. Current release ‘Crack In The Glass’ continues the band’s emphasis on reinvention of their artistry, and is the first taste of their new music set for release later this year.
ABOUT STUCK ON PLANET EARTH
Toronto-based alternative rock band Stuck On Planet Earth communicate the real life truths of life bluntly and straight up. Founded by Adam Bianchi (guitars/vocals), Al Capo (vocals/bass), and Andrew Testa (drums), their new hook-heavy, emotionally charged songs address the zeitgeist of being a millennial in a post-pandemic world, where societal expectations and the false reality of social media combine to create an anxious environment. Following the success of their 2020 debut album Beautiful Nowhere, which garnered accolades across North America and Italy, amassing over 4M combined streams to date and with two tracks off the album “Ghosts On The Radio” and “Higher Than Drugs” reaching Top 10 status at rock radio in Italy and an appearance on the Netflix Original hit “Sex/Life”, the band re-emerged in 2022 with the release of the blunt and vulnerable single ‘Strange’ and high-octane single ‘Makeshift Paradise’. Stuck On Planet Earth continue to reinvent their artistry in 2023, working on new music that will catapult them to new heights, they most recently shared the single ‘Crack In The Glass’.
