Legendary singer, songwriter and guitarist, José Feliciano, today released his highly anticipated new album, Love & Christmas, to all streaming services through Anthem Records. The new collection of songs, Feliciano’s first since 2020’s critically acclaimed, Behind This Guitar, express the enduring themes of his music and life; passion, inclusiveness, community, family and the joy of the Christmas season.  Love & Christmas also features the first new Christmas song written and performed by Feliciano in over 50 years, making it the first since the release of his beloved, bilingual holiday classic “Feliz Navidad.”  Titled “Viva La Navidad,” the up-tempo, fun, and rockin’ new track is the cornerstone of this new collection of songs, celebrating the joy of the holiday season. The album also includes the previously released single, “Rozándome”, which was also recorded in English under the title, “Touch Me”. The release of new music this fall comes on the heels of Feliciano’s critically praised and forthcoming documentary, José Feliciano: Behind This Guitar, which was released on September 29^th through Peacock/Telemundo in the U.S.  The film is directed and produced by Helen Murphy, Frank Licari and Khoa Le, and executive-producers include Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Carlos Santana and Rudy Perez. The documentary chronicles the sixty-year career and ‘against all odds’ life of the 9-time GRAMMY winner and musical icon.  Despite an impoverished upbringing, a life-long disability and a career confronting adversity, racism, and seemingly insurmountable obstacles, José Feliciano becomes the first-ever Latino crossover artist and the first Latino to win a GRAMMY for Best New Artist and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance in 1968 for his cover of the Doors classic, “Light My Fire”. Prior to that, he had revolutionized the Spanish bolero becoming a sensation throughout Latin America. After winning multiple GRAMMYs, he went on to become the first to stylize the American national anthem, the first global pop star to have a hit in three different languages with “Che Sará", and the first Latino pop star to have a country music hit, Let’s Find Each Other Tonight," from the Highly-celebrated film, “Fargo.”

Feliciano has enjoyed a busy and fruitful resurgence since signing with Anthem Records and releasing 2020’s Behind This Guitar, an album which echoed a career of transcending genres, with a characteristic fusion of Latin, pop, rock, country, and even flamenco.  A deluxe version was released in 2021, and featured bonus tracks, “Eagle When She Flies”, the first-ever song collaboration between Feliciano and Dolly Parton, the patriotic track, “I’m America”, featuring the Virginia Union University Choir led by Dove Award winner David Bratton, and “Feliz Navidad 50th Anniversary (FN50)”, a reimagined celebratory recording of the original 1970 holiday classic featuring 30-international superstars including Lin-Manuel Miranda, CNCO, Jason Mraz, Michael Bolton, Gloria Gaynor, and Shaggy.
