TORONTO, CANADA--(Marketwired - June 19, 2014) - At the 25th annual SOCAN Awards, ole and its songwriters Dean Brody, Johnny Reid, Alan Frew, and Marty Dodson were honored with Country Music Awards for the tracks "Canadian Girls," written by Brody, and "Fire It Up," written by Reid, Frew, and Dodson. The latter three then took the stage to perform a powerful rendition of "Fire It Up" with Glass Tiger and vocal group Countermeasure.
ole also took home a Domestic Animated TV Series Music Award for Johnny Test, and SOCAN took the time to recognize ole for its recent 10-year anniversary. ole-administered companies Frantic Films Releasing Inc. and DHX were also honored with TV and film awards for From Debt Do Us Part and Animal Mechanicals, respectively.
