TORONTO: ole, the Toronto-based, globally competitive independent Canadian music publisher, has entered into a worldwide co-ownership music rights agreement with Canadian film and television producer CCI Entertainment.
Under the terms of the deal, CCI Entertainment’s library of current music and future compositions created, owned, controlled or acquired are included.
CCI Entertainment properties include the award-winning animated series Harry And His Bucket Full Of Dinosaurs, Erky Perky, Frankenstein’s Cat and the all new Turbo Dogs; the live action series Ghost Trackers and Stuck In The Middle; feature films/mini-series Iron Road and The Connor Rourke Chronicles, and the online games Bangs and Tank: The Battery Mates and GeoFreakz.
This new deal is the evolution of a strong, mutually beneficial relationship between the two companies that was first created in 2005, when CCI Entertainment retained ole to administer its music on a global basis.
In announcing the deal ole Chairman & CEO, Robert Ott stated: “ole is always excited when one of our administrative relationships goes to a higher level as it has with CCI.
“CCI is one of the world’s best producers and we will honor the trust that they’ve placed in ole by contributing in kind.”
CCI Entertainment CEO Arnie Zipursky says his company is also happy to be expanding its ole association.
“We are delighted to be formalizing our relationship with ole,” said Arnie Zipursky, CEO of CCI Entertainment. “It is a testament to the success of the past four years and we look forward to a long and fruitful partnership.”
Based in Toronto and formed in 2002 through the merger of Cambium Entertainment Corp and Catalyst Entertainment Inc., CCI Entertainment Ltd. is a knowledgeable partner in international co-productions and a reliable supplier of live-action series, television movies and all animation platforms to major broadcasters throughout the world.
