TORONTO, ON – Today, April 10, ole, the world’s fastest-growing independent music publishing and rights management company, is pleased to announce that it has expanded the management team of its ole label group in order to meet the demand of its growing label business and to fully support its artists and upcoming releases. This week sees the following begin in their new roles:
Returning to ole, now as Director, ole label group, is Jennifer Essiembre. Jennifer originally began working for ole in 2011 and progressed through several positions to Senior Manager, Creative, joining ole’s Los Angeles offices in 2014. Jennifer comes with a deep knowledge of ole’s song repertoire, strong artist relations, and a comprehensive understanding of the music industry in both the US and Canada.
With a longstanding career in label marketing, Sylvia Lindae joins the ole label group as Marketing Consultant where she’ll be responsible for developing and executing full marketing plans for ole’s artists and other label projects. Prior to joining the label group, Sylvia was Senior Director of Sales & Marketing/Commercial Affairs with Universal Music.
Noted artist manager, label owner and music entrepreneur, Ivan Berry, now joins the ole label group as A&R Consultant. With 30+ years’ experience in the entertainment industry, Ivan will bolster the label group’s efforts in securing management and agency for its developing artists, in addition to providing general A&R intelligence on an ongoing basis. Ivan’s management role for ole artist, Deanna, will continue.
Slated for release in 2018 is new music from George Canyon, Maddison Krebs, Deanna, and Kalsey Kulyk among others, on ole’s artist development label, red dot. In Nashville, red dot continues to experience tremendous success in developing and upstreaming artists to major label deals: Jordan Davis and Travis Denning have been signed to Universal Music Group, and Adam Hambrick has been signed to Disney Records. Also attracting attention from major labels are Josh Dorr, Jacob Powell and Austin Jenckes.
2018 will also see deluxe reissues and unreleased material from Rush, Stompin' Tom Connors, Lighthouse and Bob & Doug McKenzie on anthem and anthem LEGACY, ole’s rock and catalogue labels. In addition to the releases mentioned above, the ole label group expects to announce more new signings and acquisitions as the year progresses.
