TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Sept. 18, 2013) - ole, one of the world's foremost rights management companies, has concluded a worldwide publishing deal for songs written by artist/songwriter, Josh Dorr. The agreement also includes Dorr's catalog of over 150 copyrights.

Josh Dorr, who has his first ole cut with singer/guitarist Casey James, was born and raised in the small mining town of Gillette, Wyoming. Growing up in "Big Wonderful Wyoming," with its acres of wide-open spaces, Dorr was naturally drawn to the great outdoors and athletics as a youngster. He played football, but after sustaining numerous injuries, he turned to music and songwriting in his late teens.

In the summer of 2010, Dorr moved east to Nashville where he would soon become a regular performer at various clubs in the city and frequently showcase as part of Artist Rounds like ASCAP Presents: In the Row and the ASCAP Nashville New Crew Writers Round at venues like The Bluebird Cafe and The Basement.

Dorr also began writing with some of Nashville's top songwriters including fellow ole writers Dave Turnbull and Brett Jones as well as Ben Glover, Kyle Jacobs, Marshall Altman, Josh Matheny, Joey Hyde, Heather Morgan and Ryan Hurd. With ole writer Bruce Wallace and ole legacy writer Kaci Bolls, Dorr wrote the song "Down Goes the Cowboy," an inspirational song about his cousin Chad Hyland who, after a rodeo accident, proved the doctors wrong after they told him that he would never walk again. The song placed Top Three in the International Songwriting Competition and a video was produced by the iconic hat and apparel brand, Stetson, as part of their inaugural Stetson Center Stage series.

Dorr co-wrote the theme song for the TV series Open Season (Pursuit Channel) and, in July, had another co-write, "I'd Look Good On You," featured in the USA Network TV show, Necessary Roughness.
