ole Songwriter Meghan Patrick picks up Female Artist of the Year Award & Rising Star Award
TORONTO, ONTARIO (September 11, 2017) – ole, the world’s fastest-growing independent music publishing and rights management company, announced today it has been named “Music Publishing Company of the Year” at the 2017 Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) Awards, continuing its unprecedented streak of 11 consecutive wins in the category. ole songwriter Meghan Patrick also fared well at the ceremony winning the Female Artist of the Year Award and Rising Star Award, resulting in a total of 2 wins for ole.
The wins are just the latest success in an unprecedented year for ole’s country music division, which achieved two #1 hits in the U.S. (Dan + Shay, Justin Moore), two Canadian #1 hits (James Barker Band, Dallas Smith), and two Top 10 hits in Australia (both from Gord Bamford) this year. The company’s Canadian country music roster has continued to grow this year as well, and now includes Gord Bamford, Clayton Bellamy, George Canyon, Lindi Ortega, Meghan Patrick, and Gavin Slate.
