The 5th annual ole pop+urban songcamp, hosted by ole and co-presented by Warner/Chappell, kicked-off on October 3, 2011 at the historic and storied Westlake Recording Studios in West Hollywood.

Here, 20 world-class songwriters, producers and artists from around the globe will connect for five days of intense songwriting and the building of hit singles in this inspirational, artist-friendly environment where relationships are also built for future collaboration.

The sessions will focus on hit singles for a number of top recording artists including Rihanna, Christina Aguilera and Jordin Sparks as well as Christina Millian, Aubry O'Day and Pia Toscano who will be in attendance. Last year's 4th edition of the songcamp resulted in the delivery of close to 40 great songs.

"The writers that will attend all have cuts on major label records," says ole Creative Manager Julie Moe, who's based in L.A. "These are some of the strongest writers of any of our previous camps... including the ole writers who have had cuts by artists such as Dre, Eminem, Christina Aguilera, Pixie Lott, Jordin Sparks, Sean Kingston, Carrie Underwood, Ray J, Cher Lloyd, Paypa, Flo Rida, Big Sean and Diggy Simmons."

Over the past few years, the ole songcamps have proven to be an effective generator of great copyrights, many of which have been placed with a variety of A-list artists including "Cause A Scene" (Teairra Mari featuring Flo Rida), "Loving You Is Easy" (Meg Pfeiffer), "Superman" (Abraham McDonald) and four cuts on the Hanni und Nanni film soundtrack recorded by Shiloh, The Veronicas and The Black Sheep. Most recently, ole writer Tebey parlayed a trip to L.A. for the ole pop + urban songcamp into a cut with rising star Pixie Lott - the number one U.K. single "All About Tonight" - and an ongoing creative collaboration with the young singer.
