Three-piece alternative rock band Stuck On Planet Earth share the official video for their blunt and vulnerable track ‘Strange’ available now via Anthem Records. Today, three-piece alternative rock band Stuck On Planet Earth share the official video for their blunt and vulnerable track ‘Strange’ available now via Anthem Records. The neon-illuminated video features the band’s emergence from a static haze into a cinematic psychedelic atmosphere, playing on the themes of the song’s lyrics. ‘Strange’ is the first single to showcase the band’s new and unfiltered, hook-heavy, emotionally charged sound, with more tracks set to arrive later this year that speak directly to the harsh reality of being a millennial in a post-pandemic world.
Written during the first lockdown in a period of uncertainty and anxiety-inducing reflection, the track marks the first release since Stuck On Planet Earth’s successful 2020 debut album Beautiful Nowhere, which debuted at #4 on the Canadian Digital Album Chart and has amassed over 3.5M streams to date.
About the new track the band shares “‘Strange’ was written at the beginning of the pandemic when there was still so much uncertainty and it seemed like there was no end in sight. The world had come to a screeching halt and suddenly, we had all of this time on our hands to reflect on where we were at in life. It was an anxiety-inducing time for us as a band because many of the people around us had already started to move on to bigger and better things, and we weren’t sure we were going to get another chance to see things through."
Fans will have the opportunity to catch the band play ‘Strange’ in addition to their previously released hits at the Rivoli in Toronto on Thursday, July 28. Tickets for the show can be purchased here.

ABOUT STUCK ON PLANET EARTH:
Toronto-based alternative rock band Stuck On Planet Earth communicate the messy, real life truths of life bluntly and straight up. Founded by Adam Bianchi (guitars/vocals), Al Capo (vocals/bass), and Andrew Testa (drums), they’ve logged thousands of hours on stage and uncountable miles on the road, beginning with what they called The Backpack Tour. As their audience grew the band toured more widely, leading them to full North American tours. Being able to play acoustically, anywhere and at a moment’s notice also helped the band make friends at college and satellite radio across North America. The band is set to re-emerge following the success of their 2020 debut album Beautiful Nowhere, which garnered accolades across North America and Italy, amassing over 3.5M combined streams globally, with two tracks off the album “Ghosts On The Radio” and “Higher Than the Drugs” reaching Top 10 status at rock radio in Italy, and an appearance on the Netflix Original hit “Sex/Life” in June of 2021. Caught between the endless push and pull of trying not to abandon yourself while failing to live up to societal expectations, this host of new, unfiltered, hook-heavy, emotionally charged rock tracks speak directly to the harsh reality of being a millennial in a post-pandemic world. Set against a backdrop of crippling anxiety and steeped in the false reality of social media, STUCK finds you in your feelings and validates the experience of being hard-pressed and stressed out about the state of your mental health, relationships, bank account and future.
